THR Calculator
Calculate your Indonesian THR (religious holiday allowance): a full month's salary at 12+ months of service, or a pro-rata amount below that.
Calculate your THR
THR (Tunjangan Hari Raya) is mandatory religious holiday pay in Indonesia — usually one month salary for permanent staff with 12+ months service.
THR Keagamaan (Tunjangan Hari Raya) is Indonesia's mandatory religious-holiday allowance, governed by Permenaker No. 6/2016: employees with 12 months or more of continuous service receive one month's wage; those with at least 1 month but under 12 receive a proportional amount — months of service ÷ 12 × monthly wage. The wage base is the basic salary plus fixed allowances, and payment is due no later than 7 days before the religious holiday (H-7). This calculator handles both the full and proportional cases locally.
This is an estimate for information only, not professional advice. Collective agreements or company policy can set higher (never lower) THR; late payment triggers a 5% fine under the regulation, and complaints go to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) posko THR. Last verified: July 2026.
FAQ
Who is entitled to THR and how much?
Anyone employed ≥1 month continuously (permanent, contract/PKWT, including some daily workers): 1 month’s wage after 12 months of service, otherwise service months ÷ 12 × wage. A worker with 6 months of service on Rp 6,000,000 gets Rp 3,000,000.
What counts as the "wage" for THR?
Basic salary + fixed allowances (tunjangan tetap) — allowances paid regardless of attendance. Variable components like meal or transport allowances tied to presence are excluded under Permenaker 6/2016.
When must THR be paid?
At the latest 7 days before the religious holiday (for most employees, Idulfitri; employees of other faiths may receive it before their own holiday, per company practice). Employers who pay late owe a 5% administrative fine on top.
I resigned 20 days before Lebaran — do I still get THR?
Permanent employees whose employment ends within 30 days before the holiday keep the right to THR; contract (PKWT) workers whose contract simply expires before the holiday generally do not. Check your termination terms.
